Antonio Biagiotti

ITALY

Born in 1971 in  Bologna, Italy. Since childhood, photography has been his passion: at the age of 13, he bought his first real camera, with which he entered a wonderful world made of shutter speed and aperture shots. These are made of various camera bodies and a copious set of lenses, which enable him to creatively interpret the most diverse shooting conditions. He is developing his photos in his own dark room.

SOUTH AFRICA

Established in 2009 South Africa, the gallery aims to showcase contemporary African art of the highest caliber. By forging cross cultural ties between Africa and Asia, Mwimbi Fine Art aims to engage with communities in ways yet to be explored. A visionary and a strong advocate on the development of African Contemporary Arts, Lee Garakara continues to explore the elusive link between African Art and its wider audience. By realizing projects locally and internationally, Garakara has gained a unique perspective on art and culture largely through his experience and travels in Asia, Europe, Southern Africa and the Middle East. Garakara is the head curator at Mwimbi Fine Art, also a member and Art Advisor for the Austria Asia Africa Association headquartered in Vienna. As a key component towards Africa’s global participation, Garakara has worked with a host of renowned institutions such as Art Basel Hong Kong, AAMI Institute Slovenia and most recently a guest lecturer at The Hong Kong Baptist University.
